Some of my stories have titles that surround the theme of the book or one of the protagonists however, sometimes I do like to pick out a completely random word that I would use if I had to describe my book in one word. Thats more for the titles I want only one word for though.
I have to have a title in mind before I start a story. It might get changed later (that's what happened with the first two books) but I find it helps tie my thoughts together. Then if anything better comes to me mid-write I'll add it to my notes, which means I usually end up with a half-dozen or so options to choose from.
I prefer thematics to names, but maybe that's because I write a particular genre and every other author and his dog seem to use 'character name' titles. Maybe they know something I don't(!) but for now I'll stick to what I like :)
I have titles....not tiles! Yeah that would really make my work stand out. I also plan on signing with a stylus and wax tablet too. Rocking it BC style.
