A unique/different setting?

Hello can anyone give me any sort of unique ideas for settings for a zombie book, the usual places go round and round in my head such as a Mansion, lab, boat, city, etc. can anyone help?

All the ideas are good. I especially like Kate's and Adrian's.

Think on these points Jonathan:-

1. You need a reason for why the zombies are here in this place now and why.

2. To make it more terrifying for the live people, there needs to be something preventing them from escaping. An island is a good idea, but has been done before.

3. Although you may wish to make this an ongoing series, there has to be a means of destroying the zombies, so that a few of the live people can escape. They don't realise of course that they are carrying back with them whatever it was that made the zombies in the first place.

Perhaps it could be a bus trip of the National Rifle Association that gets lost in the fog, ends up at an abandoned school, where the zombies of murdered kids come to teach them a lesson. Of course, it would be important not to use an actual school slaughter as your basis. That could upset people.

Good luck.

German chemical plant built on top of a mass grave of holocaust victims.

The zombies could hunt Nazi war criminals and their relations.
