I'm thinking of booking on an Arvon course week. Has anyone been on one?

I've been on two Arvon courses - the first an Advanced Fiction which was a combined Christmas present from my whole family and the second a prize in another short story competition. Both were great. The first one set me on a completely different course with my debut novel (which is now mainstream published) and the second one got me going again when I had stalled. They are expensive though - Equivalent to several (or more) weeks in a holiday cottage and I can't afford to go again.
As a present though, fabulous and the atmosphere is definitely conducive to writing. It felt a lot longer than 4 1/2 days.
I have the How to Write from W&A which is invaluable, and also some useful tips from the 2014 Yearbook but some more perspectives probably wouldn't go amiss.

Thanks Adrian

Thanks.I read Stephen's King "On Writing" and Agatha Christie's autobiography and found them both enjoyable and useful.
