What is the Genre of your novel?

The reason I ask is because the Six-Finalists of The Man Booker prize for 2012 are all historical fiction novels.

What are the best-selling Genres?

As far as I know, Romance, Crime and Horror genres sell most - apparently.

Maybe HF is getting more popular. Good news for me, though I can't ever see me troubling the Booker judges ;)

That's a good observation, I hadn't noticed that. I'm not a fan of historical drama, much preferring fantasy or seedy noir, makes you wonder doesn't it whether good writing and unique voices are perhaps passed over because of a trend or fashion of the time, when a particular genre 'fits' better than others. I can't believe there are not other books out there equally deserving that are not historical fiction.
