The most important lesson I learned is to thoroughly plan from the outset. I would have saved myself considerable effort and time.

The most important thing I've learnt about writing it that ... I can do it ;)

This knowledge came after many many years of procrastination, because I didn't believe in myself enough.

Indeed there is always room for improvement. It amazes me at times that words and ideas simply come to mind the minute my fingers hit the keyboard. The ideas may or may not be appropriate but to be able to find one's mind and fingers synchronising in harmony is simply an awesome feeling.

One thing that I have learned from writing is that there is always room for improvement. What counts is how well the reader is able to match the story with the one the author conceived in his/her mind.

Another lesson would be that patience plays a crucial role in this field.
