What's the most you can write in a day?

So, uh well I'm busy doing Camp Nanowrimo and it's a tough chase when going for a certain word count. So I wonder, how much can all of you write per day at the most?

Replies

On a bad day, about 7 - 100 (when I'm just not in the mood usually).

On an average day, about 2,500.

On a good day, about 4000.

My best ever (pre-editing): 10,000.

2,500 - 3000 is about typical.

It depends on the day and the subject matter. Some days it all flows and I can't get the ideas on paper fast enough - that's usually my own work. So maybe a few thousand words in a day. Then I might have to write about something which doesn't inspire me so much, but that I'm getting paid for - those days the words don't come so easy, although I get there in the end. Those are the days I'm lucky to get to a thousand words. Add in children, family and a house to run and it can be tough, though I do try and make time to write every day.

I can write about 500 words, is the longest distance over wich I can bridle Mr Hyde (my editing mode)

But this is not always the case, sometimes I can go further (700 to 1000) and sometimes I can spend the whole day juste to write a sentence.
