Hello, W&A members! I was wondering today what authors are inspiring to you and why? Just curiosity...

If you have read any of my other answers you can most likely predict the next word. TOLKIEN! There are no words to describe how much Lord of the Rings changed my life. That may be the cheesiest/nerdiest comment of the year which fully justify me being the new cast member of the Big Bang Theory however I don't mind so much.
I also do like Stephanie Meyers books because of the way she captures different personalities and I like J.K. Rowling because I've grown up with those stories the Philosphers Stone came out the year I was born.
I do really like Arthur Conan Doyle, however in my current novel Holmes and Watson haven't been able to offer the right inspiration.
I have heard of Ursula le Guin but haven't read anything by her. I know the titles so I must read them soon.
Jane Austen is another authour who has chaned my life and views for good. I love Northanger Abbey as the first draft was written when she was the age I was when I completed my first draft, so I feel at that point I can really identify with her authoratic voice.
I have to admit JK Rowling is a favourite along with Arthur Conan Doyle specifically his Sherlock Holmes stories and Elizabeth Chadwick. Well it is said we should read a variet of different genre.

J.K Rowling simply because she was the one who got me both reading and writing. But I also like Anne Rice for her Interview with the Vampire.
