When did you introduce Back-Story?

Back-story is essential to motivate the plot and storyline of a novel.

It adds flesh to the main character/characters.

The placement of Back-story will vary according the genre of a novel.

The back-story of my protagonist started on Page 43 of my chivalric romance.

Did your Back-story start at the beginning or after numerous chapters?

You don't suck, Megan, because your opening lines of prose show you have a voice.

Learning the aspects of the novel is not easy. Then you have to know how to orchestrate them.

If your stuck or struggling may I suggest.

E.M. Forster, of Howards End, Room With a View and, Passage to India, wrote a brilliant book called, Aspects of The Novel.

If there is one book a want-to-be author should invest in, it is, 'Aspects of The Novel'.

It is the best book ever written of its kind.

You can get cheap second hand copies on Amazon.
