Asian names are rather long. Would a Chinese name say my name-Siew Leng Lee be considered as one word? Here in Malaysia, we consider names of people & places as one word, regardless of how long the names can be. Hope someone can help me out here.

I can't vouch for the rest here, but I'd say- stick with what your culture says. To me, now, I see Siew Leng Lee as one word ;)
