I have recently completed my first book, I commissioned a local artist to illustrate the book and we agreed on the price for illustrations. We now need to agree on royalties. It seems some artists are paid royalties and some a flat fee. I have offered 2% on paperbacks and 5% on e-books. Does anyone have experience of this?
