Is it possible for the nanny to give arrowroot biscuit to the children? In year of wonders by Geraldine brooks

This book was labelled as historical fiction, so the writer can include whatever anachronisms she wants however unlikely. Haven't read this book but surely what we should consider is the quality of writing, the characters and the plot, and not go nitpicking about historical accuracy.

I found this:

The Milk Arrowroot biscuit has a long history. It was first introduced in 1888, and in those days arrowroot was seen as an easy to digest food suitable for invalids and babies.

The arrowroot is found in rainforests........ so you may be right about it not being available
