The Yearbook itself...

by Tom Pinnock

As a new writer who's just finished writing several TV and Radio sitcoms, I was told that the yearbook was THE place to find independent companies to send my work to.

Did I turn over two pages at once in this years book? Has this information been discontinued? Or is there a supplimental book I need to buy?

You may also like to bookmark the BBC Writersroom website. As far as I know the BBC has an annual submission round for TV and radio drama.

Most of us use out of date copies as the information doesn't change that much year on year and most information can be verified on the web. My copy is 2009 and the TV and radio section runs from page 348 to 408. Most of it is about the BBC but other terrestrial, cable and production companies are listed too. I'd be very surprised if they dropped this section. Your local library may have an older copy, possibly even the 2009 version, for you to compare your yearbook to.
