You're calling

There is an agent knocking at your front door and he is about to give you the opportunity of a lifetime. This opportunity is a one off and you have to choose and give a reason for your choice.

The agent, I would like you to write one of the following options for me.

A one-off novel

A sitcom, eight episodes

Or a musical at the West End

I have written and published my novel so I feel that option is done. I wrote and submitted a sitcom to the BBC, only one episode. I had so much fun acting out the characters but I would pick the musical at the West End.

What would you choose and why ?

Replies

Why choose either? write the script- get some willing people the play the part(s)- video it- put it on You Tube- Facebook it, tweet it, blog it- job done- or is it?

I would choose west-end musical.

I don't like the thought of a sitcom as much-being forced to end on a hook 7 times at least, looking at ratings, making characters that suit short attention span.

Musicals ticks off two passions-reading/writing and music/singing/acting.

besides if I really work it, the musical should help with the novel.; )

I think it would have to be a one-off novel. I'm hoping to eventually publish the book I'm writing at the moment so how could I pass up an opportunity like that!
