Calling all unpublished or self-published Black-British children's writers!
The inaugural Jericho Prize for children's writing is open to Black-British writers with great stories to inspire children aged 4 years plus and 7–9.
From 9am 2 August to 12pm (midday) 2 September 2021, send them your finest finished manuscript for a chance to win a cash prize, exclusive access to publishing industry professionals, and more.
The Jericho Prize wants to showcase talented Black-British writers who may have faced barriers to traditional publishing. This is a prize for writing: please do not include any illustrations with your submission.
As a Jericho Prize winner, you'll learn from industry experts, develop your manuscript, and, eventually if your book is published, broaden your audience. Your brilliant stories are needed.
