Online Writing Retreat

21st July 2024 11:00am to 5:00pm

With the world being {waves arms furiously} like this, it’s sometimes really hard to focus.

That’s why we’ve developed our state-of-the-art, cutting edge, highest of all high tech online writing retreats. That’s a retreat for writers. A writers’ retreat, if you will. An online retreat for writers, for free. Woo!

During each retreat we give you the ultimate pep-shakedown, give you supportive accountability, and help you to get on and do the work.

Because the only way to get your project written is to sit down and write it.

What happens at an online writers' retreat?

Writing, and lots of it.

Just logon for a brief introduction where we help you set your writing goals for the day and you can see that you’ve got a whole big writing community around you and supporting you.

Then we’ll give you set times in which to write, set times to check in on our community forums, and you can use our gang of awesome writers to help keep you motivated and accountable.

In all our writing retreats, we write in manageable, productive chunks or ‘sprints’. These are between 20 – 40 minutes of writing, then a 5 or 10 minutes break, rinse, repeat. Bosh. Job done.

Then at the end of the retreat, check in for a debrief, gold stars, and rounds of applause for all your hard work.

Who are online writers' retreats for?

Everyone!

  • New writers or experienced writers with a project in progress that has stalled or been put aside while life takes over.
  • New or experienced writers who want to tinker with an idea, or with an idea they want to make a big start on.
  • People who want to drink tea and eat biscuits and write some words in a fun, supportive environment.
  • People writing fiction, non-fiction, academic texts, copy, journalism, poetry, creative non-fiction, genre, high brow, low brow, and anything else that needs an alphabet shuffle.
