Turning Your Thesis into a Book That People Will Want to Read

11th September 2024 4:00pm to 5:30pm, BST, Online

You’ve been awarded your PhD – congratulations! So how do you go about transforming your thesis into a book publication, and one that people may actually want to read?

Author, educator and publisher William Germano provides a masterclass in the art of transformation. He will unpack the 3 ‘A’s that are crucial for any author to tackle in preparing a manuscript for submission and publication:

Argument
Architecture
Audience

William will encourage you to consider whether your thesis should be reworked into a book; get you to answer the ‘so what?’ question that lurks behind the content of any scholarly publication; and help you to think through how the content, organisation and style all need to be modified to engage a less specialised reader.

Please note: this online event will begin at 4pm BST (11am EST), and will be recorded via video-conferencing software. After the event has taken place a link will be circulated to all attendees and remain available to view for a time-limited period.
