How to Edit Your Novel
How are my characters intersecting with the plot? What did that character want out of this scene? What’s working? And what isn’t? You will be encouraged to ask these key questions, and more, of your work-in-progress, in this special editing masterclass.
Ahead of the Working-Class Writers’ Prize 2023 deadline on 2nd October, our judge Kasim Ali will share his insight into how to edit your novel. Whether you’re in the middle of an edit, or about to embark upon this process, this is the masterclass is for you. As an author and editor, Kasim has a unique insight into the editing process. He will offer his advice on finding the engine of your story, identifying friction in your writing and the importance of interrogation. Kasim will also give top tips around pace as well as sharing his techniques on seeing the bigger picture of your story when tackling structural edits.
