Poetry takes many different formats and it can be difficult to know how to navigate the options available as a poet looking to make the next steps in their career. In this practical masterclass, celebrating the publication of the Poetry Writers' Handbook, author and poet Sophia Blackwell will take you through the ins and outs of writing poetry, whether for publication or performance. Why do you write poetry and who are your words for? How do you craft a distinct voice? Sophia will be digging into these questions and more  Moving beyond the written and spoken word, Sophia will talk about the practical elements of a poetry career. How do you make the finances work? What's the difference between a pamphlet or a full collection? How can you get your work reviewed?  15 minutes will be reserved for a Q&A at the end of the masterclass. This masterclass will be online, video platform to be confirmed.
