Lunchtime Learning: Exploring Gender and Identity Narratives in Writing
This October, we will speak to writers Ely Percy (they/ them) and Carrie Marshall (she/ her) about their creative processes across fiction and memoir, sharing their top tips on structure, self-care and writing from the personal. In conversation with each other, they will discuss how their relationships to queer and transness shape their writing practises, and have affected their publication journeys. From writing queer and trans characters and narratives, to creating space for queer and trans writers within the publishing industry, they will offer invaluable guidance to writers of all genders.
All proceeds raised from ticket sales of this masterclass will go towards Mermaids, a charity that support trans, non-binary and gender-diverse young people. Find out more about what Mermaids do here: https://mermaidsuk.org.uk/
This masterclass will be online via Teams. It will also be recorded so if you are unable to attend live, you'll be able to catch-up and access the recording for up to two weeks after the event has taken place.
