Writing Creative Non-Fiction
Do you write creative non-fiction, from long-form essays to memoir?
Then join masterclass leader and non-fiction author Sam Johnson-Schlee (Living Rooms) as he shares his insight into writing non-fiction and writing it well. He will be discussing his own process for writing Living Rooms, and how he engages with objects in a political way. Through an investigation of objects he will help you understand how to combine both a political and theoretical practise with a creative one, as well as how to turn this into good writing. He will share his top tips on structuring long-form essays and non-fiction, and will investigate how non-fiction writers can bring playfulness into their subject. Practical exercises will be embedded into the session and there will be an opportunity to ask questions of Sam during a closing Q&A.
This masterclass will be online via Teams. It will also be recorded so if you are unable to attend live, you'll be able to catch-up and access the recording for up to two weeks after the event has taken place.
