Extract from WIP

Here is an extract from my current WIP:

“It is believed that the deep ocean holds secrets so rare that they only reveal themselves to explorers with good, curious intentions. There are precious metals scattered across the abyssal plains, creating ecosystems, worlds within worlds, where unique creatures thrive. There are seamounts, underwater mountains that rise from the sea floor like the fist of a god, that are home to corals and marine mammals. 

And the trenches, the very bottom of the ocean floor, are the ultimate unknown. A place of darkness, where the living must find a way to survive, adapt against all odds. Here is uncharted territory, a place with no rules, and it has driven grown adults to obsession, dreaming of a new world that is theirs to conquer.”
