Perceptions

Seeing through the eyes of a wheelchair.

In a world that we all live within, it’s all about perception from the view which most of us see.

From the ground to the sky, it’s all about senses and how we interact with the wonders that fill our day.

An astronaut will see more than most by experiencing the basis of zero gravity and floating, whereas a person in a wheelchair will see from a lower threshold that may never known by others.

As we go about our lives, living in the existence of time, we navigate through our senses to see more through our time, our perspectives which continue until a new challenge unforeseen arrives.

Life in a wheelchair whether born or in later life becomes necessary, requires hard work and determination more than others would be able to comprehend, as adaption to the norm can be frustration and annoying when living a life amongst all others who can walk and stand tall.

To see above crowds, to not feel ignored, to not be judged or ridiculed, to be one within all are many of the challenges when living life within a wheelchair.

The aspect of a wheelchair allows for a life to be lived but a wheelchair doesn’t mean to be segregated or labelled, as the symbol of recognition is seeing past the wheelchair itself.

The stance on which a person feels valued, is treating them as an equal, whether on crutches or in a wheelchair on standing on own feet alone.

We are all human with transportation to take us there, from one point to another, so why should it matter if life is lived in a wheelchair as the person who occupies that space is as important as you or I.

Just a thought of perspective which I hope captures correctly, as I don’t live in a wheelchair but meet many during my days in transportation © 10 days ago, The Thinker of Life
