It can be difficult to determine the best book by a particular author, as opinions on literature are often subjective. That being said, many readers enjoy the surreal, dreamlike quality of Haruki Murakami's writing and find his books to be thought-provoking and memorable. Some of his most popular and highly-rated books include:

  1. "Kafka on the Shore" - This book follows the story of Kafka, a teenage boy who runs away from home and ends up in a strange library, and Nakata, an older man with the ability to communicate with cats. The book is known for its enigmatic plot and themes of loss, identity, and the supernatural.

  2. "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle" - This book follows the story of Toru Okada, a Tokyo man who becomes embroiled in a mysterious and surreal search for his missing cat and wife. The book is known for its intricate and multi-layered plot, as well as its themes of memory, loss, and the power of the unconscious mind.

  3. "Norwegian Wood" - This book is a coming-of-age story about Toru Watanabe, a young man who looks back on his relationship with two women in his past: the beautiful and troubled Naoko, and the outgoing and vivacious Midori. The book is known for its honest portrayal of love, loss, and the complexities of human relationships.

Ultimately, the best book for you will depend on your personal tastes and interests. I recommend giving a few of Murakami's books a try to see which ones you enjoy the most.
