Tania Hershman will announce the winners and present them with their prizes at this evening of live short story readings, as well as reading one of her own prize-winning short stories. The event is open to all and tickets are £10 or £6 for students, including a glass of wine. Tickets can be bought on the Bloomsbury Institute website.

Hi Jennifer, when submitting a story do we need to provide a synopsis in the email?

I have entered, yes.

I always find it difficult to work to a theme and a word limit so it's good practice for me to write with discipline.

That said, I ended up with 2 stories for this theme. The first effort was over the word limit, so I need to figure out what to do with it.

As for the story I submitted, well, having re-read it once more, its does seem to have interpreted the theme very loosely......hmmmm.
