Are all rejections this good?

I hear so much about writers and rejections and was fearing the worst but what I received as a rejection made me feel quite proud about my efforts so far.

The rejector wrote:

I'm afraid it is not quite right for ******** but I trust that you will find the right publisher in the near future.

All good wishes,

Fearing the worst probably has to do with how rejections make us feel in general, more than how they are worded. Yours was nicely worded as you say. You get the feeling that they have read it and liked it.

However, even with a "nice" rejection, we still feel a bit down because they didn't publish our work in the first place. Hang on to the positives and send it off elsewhere. It must be good enough. Best of luck and get back to us with a good result!
