assuming a name

this will be my second question and hoping it gets as good an answer as my first. my name is as anyone can see quite boring, do I change my name now or wait until someone, if someone ever does take an interest in my writing? I'm sure I will have many more questions as I know nothing of the writing world.

This is an interesting question and one I've wondered about myself. What's in a name? I wonder if mine screams 'Granny' at potential readers and risks putting them off before they've read a word. To me your name is neutral - a good thing, I think....

I actually think that your name sounds very 'literary' and memorable too :)
