assuming a name

this will be my second question and hoping it gets as good an answer as my first. my name is as anyone can see quite boring, do I change my name now or wait until someone, if someone ever does take an interest in my writing? I'm sure I will have many more questions as I know nothing of the writing world.

I've never come across the name Garside before, so I wouldn't say it's boring! I don't think people look at an author's name and think it's boring. Take Dan Brown for example. His name? Boring as hell! And yet we remember him for his books. No name is forgettable if the books are fantastic.

I'm at the point of finding an agent for my fist novel and I didn't want to do something stupid at the very beginning, so I suppose I will go with Paul Garside and hope it's not instantly forgettable. thanks again. Regards Paul
