I've just shared a poem entitled "One Of The Lucky Ones (The Treasure)", which was nudged into being by Daphne Milne's Q&A "Poem/workshop help please" (https://www.writersandartists.co.uk/question/view/2743).
It's in free verse, 67 lines (425 words) long, narrated by a young refugee woman, and can be found at https://www.writersandartists.co.uk/profile/jimmy-hollis-i-dickson/work/5876be2e387140b15c8b4569
While I was at it (sharing work), I also shared a piece of flash fiction. (Remit: any subject, but ONLY dialogue which defines the personalities of the characters.) Entitled "Self Defence, Safe Passage, Insurance Policy...", it has 489 words and can be found at https://www.writersandartists.co.uk/profile/jimmy-hollis-i-dickson/work/5876c6273871406b618b4569
Feedback appreciated!
I'll mention it to the group and give the details. Suggest response no later than 1 Feb OK?
I will add website etc. to the poem sheet I've prepared. Subtitle to the workshop is Hardy, haiku and a couple of Johns. Not sure where it will lead but will do my best.

@ Daphne: Why don't you give those taking part in the workshop some completely optional homework? One week to write and submit a poem about refugees.
We at La Gr@not@ would be happy to stretch our deadline for them. And they'd have published poems to mention in their CVs.
Sorry about the dates, got my groups mixed. Workshop on 14th is on The Implications of Clothes.
