How useful have other members found a blog as a means of showcasing their fiction?
I've just started one (it's on Wordpress at www.pennygadd51.wordpress.com in case you're interested). I'm hoping it's not going to be a waste of time that would be better spent writing, though.
What have you found, fellow writers?

I have a blog - lettersfromtheclouds.wordpress.com- I only get to update it monthly but I have never thought it was a waste of time:writing mastery comes with constant practice and blogging is just about that. I get to share ideas, reflections, short stories and you'd be surprised how many people read and comment on your work. It's also a good way to engage with others intellectually and helps you generating new ideas. I don't use my blog as a mean of showcasing my fiction, I do it for sheer pleasure, though you can definitely build an audience and promote your work.
