Catchy Phrases

Hello, folks.

I guess most of you probably know this situation as well as I do: when that jumpy moment comes in your story and you need to finish it with a super catchy phrase but... you're not inspired to create one >:(

So, after feeling "disappointed" about your self, what do you try to do to reverse this situation?

I know we become obsessive with our work, but I do agree with Gilly and Jonathon in that you need some time away from it to get things into perspective and not fall through any obvious trapdoors.

Catchy phrase? Careful you don't end up with a cliche.

I'd write exactly what I want to say without trying to be clever and go back to it later. Something'll come, even it it takes until the final draft :)

Take some time away from it and concentrate on something completely different. Sometimes reading a magazine or listening to the radio inspires me and gives me a new idea/perspective. Still have that initial disappointed feeling though
