Comedy thriller

I have a work of fiction which I've loosely labelled as 'comedy thriller' in an attempt to pigeon hole it. It's almost an Ealing comedy style caper, which will mean nothing to anyone under the age of fifty. I digress. Does anyone know of any literary agents I might submit my strange hybrid to? Have tried a few with no success as it falls between two stools. Any ideas?

Funny, some violence, dark. Was hoping to muscle in on Chris Brookmyre's turf with a nod to Kate Atkinson. Pretentious? Moi?

What are your comparative titles?

Is it funny and violent, like the films In Bruges? Or is it more of a "Cozy", like The Number One Ladies' Detective Agency books? Whose fans are you hoping to steal?

As for agents, I don't think this is something you need to get *to* hung up on. Remember, the worst they can say is "no", so as long as you aren't sending it those who only rep non-fiction, or Children's books, or Sci-Fi, you should be fine with anybody who reps Thrillers and/or general fiction.
