I'll read an entire piece if it grabs my attention no matter the genre. The only pieces I don't read are those with links taking me off the site.
I'm also trying to read and comment on as many pieces as time allows before I put anything up for consideration. Quid pro quo and all that...
With me it's usually because it's not my genre. I prefer to offer comments on which I have some experience in. Also, It can be time consuming to comment on whole chapters put up. My genre is self-help / philosophy so if it doesn't resonate, I don't comment. By the same token, very few commented when I put mine up.
This site seems to have turned into a ghost town. I am on level 4 2470 points. I always had my input but it seems other people just don't bother any more. Its a shame because this IS a good site to be on...
