creating a blog

looking for technical help here. The site we use doesn't let you post more than 3000 words and it was suggested a while ago, quite a while actually! that I start a blog and post a link. Now, firstly, how do I start a blog and where? think that should be the other way around, never mind. Secondly how will I create a link to the blog? think I'll add a please here, at least I can sound polite if really I'm not!!!

Regards Paul.

Hi Jonathan and Paul. Thank you for your interesting discussion it was very insightful. I will also check out the site you mentioned Jonathan. I used to belong to a local writing circle many, many years ago and didn't feel I took a lot home from it. Now I have precariously climbed out of the writers closet, I find it easier to post on the web as it is less personal! I dont have to shakily read my stuff out to a bunch of other people and have them crit me !

Good luck with the blog and happy writing!

Anne

Hi Jonathan, thanks for getting back to me, it is kind of you to offer advice. The fact that you have tried the site and have experience of it gives me some hope. You are right about comments and how some people view work, the rubbish and blockbuster comment! I have a thicker skin because I have a better understanding of that now, I used to think if something didn't please everyone then it was useless but of course that's not the case, thank god!!!

Of course most things in life are like that opinions all is opinions.

I joined the local writers group at our library, they are all very nice people but I feel I'm not really getting anything from it, we have "home work" but I was hoping it would be about the group bringing in their own creations and getting feedback and direction, unfortunately not so. Maybe time to leave and explore other directions like the one you have suggested. Once again thank you and I hope the fits soon finish and leave the starts to continue the journey...

Regards Paul
