Hi Everyone
I have been doing some thinking towards the way I write and I would like to take 1 class in creative writing just so I can see whether or not this is for me. I live in Swansea and was wondering if anyone could tell me where the nearest one is and how much it would cost just for 1 class?

Sometimes WEA courses let you attend one of the classes to see if it is what you want. Some informal courses may well do the same. I suggest you check with your local library and also try an internet search.

I'm not sure what type of single class would provide what you are seeking.
I can recommend the OU book Pauline suggested above - it can be used as a stand-alone, it has useful guidance and exercises and it is a lot cheaper then an OU course. I bought one form Amazon.
I can also recommend the short online creative writing courses by Dr Sarah Burton at Cambridge University ICE. I did the short story one earlier this year and it was excellent and reasonably priced. http://www.ice.cam.ac.uk/courses/online-courses?ref=home
