Hello,
This might sound a little silly to ask, but do you guys ever have moments where you just want to throw out your drafts or shove your un published novels aside and call it quits ?
I mean I had just finished printing out a few pages I was about to edit, and found out I wasn't accepted in a literature program for college. It just crushed me. :(
@ Michaela
That's the same way I feel for a story I've been trying to work on for the last seven years.
Others have told me to start fresh but I'm just so attached to the characters, that I can't just put them aside. They try to butt in even if I do start a new piece.
God, everyone has lows, some have the lowest of the lows compared to other people - it just depends you have the determination to drag yourself back up from the crag known as 'self doubt', sure you might be rejected if you're unknown - like most of us are. It happens, its inevitable.
I find myself fleeting from one story to another, finding myself unable to progress through the story because I lack commitment with the knowledge it might only ever be seen with these eyes and never brought to the shelves.
Thank all of you so much for the encouragement :)
I'm speechless!
But all of you are so right! I need to keep my head up and continue writing and improving, I cant just give up!
I find it a little funny how demons seem to come up quite a bit, and my story involves them.
@Melanie: I have watched the Secret window it's a great move. I shudder just thinking about the ending.
Hugs for everyone!
