Got to love London

I've never been to the UK but I've watched films and grown to love the place. I particularly love London! I would like to write a story with it's setting in London. What can I do to make sure I've best described London in my story?

When I need to write about a place where I've never been before, I usually buy those trip oguides with images and histories about this place. Oh, you might be sure I understand your desire of visiting London... it also would be like a dream to me :)

Hi Esther,

I have lived in London for over a year, and found it really an amazing place.

If you really want to write about London without having been there, you can write about a small boy/ girl who reads about the fascinating things of London and imagines that he/ she is already there - in an Alice-like adventure. Once you create this basic framework you could let your imagination/ desire run free - without having to stick to accuracy. You can build a London which is more like the place you built up in your mind :)

Cheers,

Sid
