I'm getting towards the end of completing the first draft of my current work in progress, and sometimes it's been hard to motivate myself to keep going if I'm feeling like it isn't going in the right way. How. Do you guys keep yourself motivated?

Taking a break, sometimes even when I don't want to. I started to reach out to agents in November last year and then forced myself to take a break and review my work. I have had time off, hiking in the mountains for a couple of days, baby-sitting, cooking for friends, reading other people's work, going to Christmas markets and being ill, besides interviewing for new jobs. I am now planning the next deadline for my first novel. I think the time off was very good.
The fear of finishing as rightly pointed out by Renee and Jonathan is a very important hurdle to cross. I really suffered with that, by far the most painful bit of the writing (so far ; ))
Motivation z something dat lies within an indiviual...it can b boosted only when you percieve things in a positive sense.. Motivation can only b achieved when one has a fixed set of goals and knows its accomplishment.. People who talk about being unmotivated are basically negative minded and low in spirits..

My motivation are the books and just the boooks. When I see them, I feel like going on and doing my best to have books of my name all over the world. ! :::D
