I have self published my memoir (under a different name) on Amazon Kindle and have been trying to market it. I have a website, I am posting on blogs that are relative to my memoirs and also networking on facebook/other social sites and doing free promo days. I have had nearly 2000 downloads (inc free promos) but really want to step it up. Does any one have any other advice on how I can advertise my book without having to pay a fortune?
Perhaps bring out a new edition with photos and a new Introduction to the Second Edition, or a new chapter with the events re-analysed or put into context in the light of current events?
I'm just starting (pen to paper) the book I want to self-publish on Kindle Amazon, but of course I don't need to tell you that the website- Kindle Digital Publishing- gives tips on marketing .
Page 317 to 319 of Writer's and Artists Yearbook 2012 has tips (I assume you've already
read that section).
As you are at a further stage than me, I'll keep a lookout for answers to your questions
as I hope I will need those tips too. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply. It's only an ebook for the moment so that makes it harder to advertise in my opinion. I will make a note of you suggestions though as you have some good points.
