It depends which area of the country you live in as to what grants you can get. The Welsh Books Council will help those born or currently living in Wales and I know there is something similar in East Anglia. Arts funds tend to be local. Hope your postcode's a good one!
Put a project proposal together and launch it on Kickstarter (it comes to the UK in the autumn).
