Influences

This isn't a question that I need to know to help with my writing, I was just curious as to what other people find influentual when writing their stories/novels. I find listening to music or watching T.V. as well as my mood influences what I write. What about everyone else?

I find it easier most of the times when its quite, peaceful and in a sort of dark environment with not much light, but evidently when sometimes I get tired of this, listening to movie soundtrack helps. sometimes taking food with sugar content-which could make you hyper, could also provide a change of mood..

My book actually has a soundtrack because different scenes are written to certain tracks. All along I've thought it's a shame I can't add my music selection in the margins for the reader, but I figure that's what a website is for.

I find if I'm in a really good mood my writing seems to be more chirpy and lively, if I'm upset it is more gruesome with lots of death etc and if I'm in a strange mood it's more real life aha :)
