It sounds beautiful to write in a series of letters or diary entries! That kind of thing would knock me off my feet and have my full attention! Please please do this, and then share some so I can dribble over it!!

Lionel Shriver's novel "We Need To Talk About Kevin" is written in epistolary form. Perhaps worth a read to see how it is done.
