I am using just the ordinary "office word" for my M/S is this ok for submission to an agent or is there a specific piece of software for typing M/S that has all the required spacings and layout they require? Thanks in advance.

Regards Paul.

thank you for that answer I wasn't sure, so many new things when it comes to the reality of the publishing world, maybe they should have used publishers in the second world war, their minefields may have been more effective! have I just put that in print!!!

I will put as much of my first chapter up later this week, like everyone else you wonder how it will be received it not having para's in the text because the site doesn't accommodate the format. Hey ho suck it and see, as they say. once again thanks for your reply, oh and by the way I have no idea how to convert to a PDF what a waste of time I am!

Regards Paul.

Word is fine. You can also submit a PDF document but you can even save from word in that format. I'd stick with word unless a publisher, agent or competition rules state otherwise.

Good luck with your piece and please post something so we can have a taster.
