How do you keep track of your chapters? Do you write each chapter in separate files or the entire book in one large file?

I tend to write the story as a single document before starting a second document with a brief description of what is taking place in each chapter. Usually this ends up being 3 to 4 bullet points.
As I tend to write in blocks of five chapters, I flesh out a rough idea of what might happen over those chapters depending on what came before.
Every time I complete a chapter I copy in onto a stick then carry on writing. I then Keep the last chapter open for referral. I always have the MS chapters together and a copy Just in case.
Well, I use a free Software called Celtx, its very handy. One can divide and browse through chapters so easily. In my opinion, its one of the best free writing software's, you can use. All the chapters are in one single file, and its quite simple to organize them.
