Poetry Corner.

Hi everyone, I have just contacted Bloomsbury regarding the possibility of setting up a Poetry Corner. Would you please let me know your thoughts and opinions regarding this. Also if you support this proposal then give it the thumbs up, I am hoping Bloomsbury will seriously look into setting something up. But we need to show them that there are enough people interested in poetry to warrant its own section. So please click on and give it your support.

A Poets Corner would work for less challenging forms of Poetry.

I have written about 150 poems but I am not interested in publishing them. That is because they need more work and my time is better spent writing novels. Also, because I have not grasped the technical aspects of many of the various forms of Poetry.

There is not much money in Poetry. Therefore publishers are not that interested.

However, I love reading Poetry and I recommend the BloodAxe books of Poetry. They cover every subject imaginable.

Those interested in learning to write Poetry should read, 'The Making of a Poem' A Norton Anthology of Poetic Forms, by Mark Strand and Eavan Boland.

I think this is a really good idea, I like writing poetry but find it isn't as widely accepted as stories and novels (although this could just be the people I ask) :)
