Hi Vicky, me too, nervous to share my work. So far I have amazing feedback. Agreed with Paul's comments. This has motivated me and gave me courage to share my work. I learnt so much from it.
Ageed. I only got points for the first shared work but I've been too nervous to share work before. Hopefully the more work shared will encourage plenty of honest feedback (good & bad), thus aiding positive progress.
I agree with Adrian. points are useless, however, the people who contribute on this site are brilliant. Their wealth of knowledge always surprises me. The help, guidance and encouragement is immeasurable. That might sound over the top but if you ask for a critique you will always get an honest balanced reply, not just a reply but sound advice on how and where to make your writing stronger. At the risk of being a bore, the help I have received changed the way I write, it made me realise that listening to others doesn't change your style but will help develop your unique voice. So, points as Adrian has said are pointless but the people who will help are amazing.
