Prologues and Submission

Just wondering, many agents ask for the first three chapters when you submit your work, so how does that work if you have a prologue of only a couple of pages? Does it count as one of the three chapters, or should I send it as well? Thoughts and comments appreciated, thank you.

I'm not very expereinced with agents, but....

if the prologue is well writen, and has an element of the story, and can set the mood to the story, submit it

Thanks Dor, that's an interesting link and I think it does offer an answer. Much appreciated!
