I am a 3rd year Illustration student, at the University of Sunderland, and am at the beginning of my Final Major Design Project.
For this project I have decided to illustrate and write a dry humoured book on being able to commit the perfect murder.
My current lines of research are a retired policeman, the internet, and crime drama on tv.
Could I ask what advice you could give me with regard to research, and your views on books for adults with some interaction involved, such as opening envelopes, unfolding news clippings and perhaps a pop-up at the end?
It would help me hugely to have any input from you, especially in regard to my professional engagement.
Yes, She's a lovely illustrator, thank you.
Not for adults - but Emily Garret's Little Mouse's Big Book of Fears is an excellent illustration of a variety of different media used to great effect. I particularly like the map!
Good luck!
Oh thanks for that, will look into it!!
