After a long journey I am nearly ready to put my work out here. I have just added a newly edited sample of my work, please head over there and see what you think.

Good luck with it all, Michael. I think you could tweak your work a little more - I've made some comments - before it's perfect. The punctuation issues are important; the rest is purely subjective, and down to my personal opinion.
Bear in mind that if you intend to e-publish, the process of reading on Kindle or other device magnifies your work, so that the smallest error becomes more obvious. We read in a completely different way than when scanning a book, simply because there aren't two full pages on view at any one time, only the portion of a page which varies according to the size of font chosen.
