Setting up my own magazine?

Hi all, I've noticed there are very few magazines for writers (or maybe that's just where I live) and I was thinking about setting up my own magazine which would include any genre from people who love to write world wide. Is this a good idea or am I going to be wasting my time?

I had a look on-line & came up with this list of magazines -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:British_literary_magazines

I expect some are on-line & some print, I haven't looked at the individual entries. It should give you an idea of what's out there & where there might be a gap in the market.

Good luck if you go ahead

I've thought of a few titles and details but I've not yet fully decided what the details are :)

I think It would have been an awesome idea. Yeah, it is tough considering the circulation, printing, etc but it is a good idea.

Have you thought out the details ?
