Success stories from W&A

Hello,

Just out of general interest and to help with general writing motivation; are there any success stories to come out of W&A shared works?

I'm fairly new to this site and writing in general. I've also been looking at nanowrimo and enjoyed reading about some of the success stories there and was wondering if there was anything similar here.

Cheers

Hi Oliver, sorry for the late reply, I just saw your comment :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my blog and book, that's so nice of you! No Quarter is coming along well, expecting the final MS back from my editor in the next few days, then hopefully published within the month. I also have another book unrelated to the series which I'm going to be sending out to agents over the next few months.

When I shared my work on this site it was the first time I'd shared my work with anyone, and the positive feedback I received gave me the confidence to keep going, as did the support of the blogging community. I hope you get the same thing from being a part of this site - there are some very helpful people on here and, as you can see, I'm not the only one who's been published.

Thanks for the plug, Adrian! :)

To continue, my second novel was picked up by a small press (Bretwalda Books) which has been an interesting learning experience. I may have another go at finding an agent once the next story's finished but I suspect my low output may be off-putting.

It's reassuring to know that there are a few success stories.

Jonathon Hopkins has self-published.

Simon P Clark's first novel EREN is available in paperback, hardback and audio, on Amazon.
